My Five Year Old

Practicing for kindergarten!





I have been putting off writing this post because I am in denial that my first born is five years old already.  Why is it that 5 sounds so much older than 4??  This little girl is really growing up in front of our eyes. 

Zoe:

* loves to read, especially non-fiction, and is reading on a 1st grade level

* loves dinosaurs and can recite tons of information about them

* is very curious and likes to figure out how things work

* asks a lot of questions and talks pretty much non-stop

* has an increasing imagination that she uses to create "adventures" with her toys

* likes to play pretend adult things like store, dentist, garage sale, etc.

* loves music and will blare it on her CD player in her room and sing and dance around

* does not like getting her hair done

* helps out around the house

* likes to help cook and bake

* sleeps with green blanket and Rex
* is a slow and messy eater
* will be playing AYSO soccer this fall
* is going to be a Daisy (Girl Scouts)

* is very excited about starting kindergarten in 2 weeks!

Weight: 41 lbs.

** Her doctor estimated she will be about 5'4", a good average of  her mom and dad. **
